The airwar in Southeast Asia was more then a contest between Vietnam and America. From the start, China and the Soviet Union were backing the Vietnamese, with advisors and weapons. This almost lead to an extension of the conflict to the allies of Vietnam. Luckily, America never did a major attack on China and the Soviet Union, containing the war to Southeast Asia.
In this documentary the main subject is the American effort to win the war by massive air power. First by bombing the Ho Chi Minh trail, later by bombing Cambodia and in the end by a massive continues air raid on North-Vietnam, making Vietnam the most bombed country in the history of mankind.
