British Pathé shows a wide range of historical footage

If you like old news footage you definitely have to check out the Youtube channel of British Pathé. They published a staggering 85.000 historical movies, ranging from important historical events to everyday life. The oldest movies date back to the 19th century. The good thing is, the movies are searchable. Some examples:

Anti-nazi propaganda movies, like ‘curse of the Swastika (1940)’

Footage of the Boer-war, dating back to 1899

And an insight into an age where manners were a bit rougher. Here an obese boy (1935) is teased with a chokalate bar
